Accessing a Google Drive Account via Globus
Currently, CCS has a collection on Globus UKY Google Drive Collection
. This collection will allow you to connect your UKY Google Drive to Globus and transfer it to other collections, such as the collections we also have setup for MCC, LCC, and Ceph. This document details the steps to connect a Google Drive to such a collection.
If you cannot access this collection, open a ticket with the CCS Support Desk. Please include your Linkblue ID and , if the Google Drive account you need to access is not a

account, the email of the account you wish to access.Authenticating and Connecting to Google Drive
Login to globus.org and search for the collection you wish to access in "File Manager". When accessing a collection, you will authenticate as you normally would for any other collection. Click "Continue" and select/link an appropriate identity to access the collection.
After authenticating, you will receive the following message to perform additional setup to connect a Google Drive account to the collection. Click "Continue" to begin the process.
Continue through the following screens to choose a Google Drive to connect to Globus and allow Globus to access the account.
Navigating through your Google Drive on Globus
Once this is complete, you'll be able to access your Google Drive and begin transferring data. Every Google Drive account will have the following directories on the root path.
My Drive
: Files you individually own.Shared With Me
: Any individual files/directories shared with you.Starred
: Any files you starred in Google Drive.Team Drives
: Any Team Drives you have access to. Each Team Drive will show up as its own directory.Trash
: Deleted files that Drive is still maintaining (usually up to 30 days after deleting).
You will usually start in /My Drive; use the "Up One Folder" Button to get to the root and access the other directories.
