Harris, Lawrence

Prof. Lawrence Harris will be the person doing computing for the project Interpolation and

Cubature for Rectangular Sets of Nodes. Maple programming and development will be done

by him on his workstation. This will primarily consist of coding for testing conjectures,

discovering relations and verifying identities. In cases where intensive symbolic computation is

required, he will first try VM-ware provided by Arts and Sciences IT. The DLX cluster will be

used when more de-manding computation is required. At present, there are no others on this

project doing computing.

Computational method:

Will be Maple programming as needed.

Software:

linux version of Maple and one of A&S floating licenses.

Collaborators:

Brian Simanek is a collaborator on this project. He will be using his own computing resources at Baylor.
