Projects

• Analyzing large social networks on Wikipedia to determine influence on task outcomes

  1. I use R and python scripts for most of the analyses. For visualization there are a couple of packages such as lgl, lanet, graphviz. Graphviz is available but lanet is not, nor I can build it on the cluster, there are shared libraries missing such as libgsl.so.0
  2. Some of the scripts use parallel processing and are memory intensive.
  3. I am the only one working on this project and that has access to dlx.

Software

R
Python

• Evaluating factors that affect article quality in Wikipedia

  1. I use R for all analyses. Whenever possible I use parallel processing (e.g., foreach package).
  2. The memory requirements can get up to 8GB but no more than that is expected

Collaborator

â—¦ I am collaborating with a non-UK PhD Candidate from the University of Minnesota, Aaron Halfaker, however I am the only one using the cluster.
