Introduction

My group focuses on the web application design based on text mining techniques and data visualization for use in narrative clinical reports. We have developed a prototype system to run visualization for the mined keywords for use in designing personalized patient education materials. We use clinic visit histories as well as patient education materials from National Library of Medicine’s MedlinePlus and PubMed as well as American College of Rheumatology Association.
