NoMachine lets you remotely log in to your Windows VM.

Download the NoMachine client on your local computer. Download link:

To allow for NoMachine to work, you have to add the NoMachine security group, described below. The security group will open the correct ports for NoMachine connections. You can add a security group in 2 ways: 1) As you are creating/launching your VM  2) You can add it to an existing VM.

Adding Security Group when Creating a new VM

Go to the Security Groups Tab and Click on the Up arrow for the NoMachine item.

If you forgot to do the above step when launching the VM, you can add the security group to an existing VM as described below.

On the OpenStack web dashboard, you have to change port security settings to enable connections to the right ports. Go to the instances page,

For the Instance/VM that you want to enable NoMachine connection, click on the menu for that VM on the right most column. Clicking on the arrow (a) will show a drop down menu. Click on "Edit Security Groups" (b).

A pop up appears. Now you can add the NoMachine security group by clicking the + sign in the NoMachine button. You'll see it move to the right side under "Instance Security Groups. Then click Save.
