Manivannan, Dakshnamoorthy

Dr. Manivannan’s Research Lab:

Dr. Manivannan’s research interest lies in the following areas and at their intersection: Fault-tolerance in distributed and database systems; Channel allocation in cellular networks; Routing and security in mobile ad hoc networks, vehicular networks, and wireless personal area networks; Routing in wormhole networks; Fault-tolerance and security in cloud computing systems; Computer and network security. He and his group have published in reputed journals and conferences in these areas.

Project:

Intrusions in computer networks have increased significantly in the last decade, due in part to a profitable underground cyber-crime economy and the availability of sophisticated tools for launching such attacks. This project seeks to design, implement and evaluate Intrusion detection approaches based on machine learning.
